Last Saturday, we followed our noses down to the infamous Gilroy Garlic Festival!

A little garlic fashion...

Free samples of garlic ice cream. Actually, pretty tasty.

A garlic grabbing free for all after the garlic shucking contest (does one shuck garlic?!)

The garlic cook off.

A mouth watering cooking demo. If you look closely in the mirror, you can see the huge pan full of garlic cloves roasted in olive oil.

The festival was apparently sponsored by Foster's Chicken. Below is said chicken being stir fried.

Fillmore Jazz Festival

About a mile of Fillmore street blocked off for at least 3 main music stands, let alone the smaller musicians filtering through the crowds and on the corners and so much food and drink.

These guys, Tia Carroll and Hardwork, were by far our favorites.

Have we mentioned California doesn't believe in beer gardens? Just grab a beer and wander through the crowds enjoying the music.

Beer battered fried w/ garlic aioli and crab.

Spokane in the Spring!

So we were in Spokane about 2 month ago, but better late than never. We celebrated Randy's 50th birthday and revival of the legendary Nelson's Annual Chicken Shit Party. Unfortunately, we're still waiting on pictures of the latter.

Home stuff!

Well, we've been busy traveling and going to festivals so we've been neglecting our posting. Here's just a few pics of the home life.

Veggie crumbles, chedder and green onion stuffed ebelskievers.
